The Challenge:
A UK award-winning cheese manufacturer used to rely on a 100% manual process for cheese ripening that relied heavily on team members. Progress was manually documented, causing limited visibility, difficulties in tracking and ensuring consistency. This resulted in a higher rate of human error that directly impacted product quality.
The Solution:
The Barcode Warehouse provided the manufacturer with an RFID tracking solution to modernise and improve the cheese turning process. The system was installed using a Zebra FX9600 RFID Reader, with UHF-polarised industrial antennas located at specific cross points and within the barrel-shaped inverter that turns the cheese.
